In country program in Leadership for 21st Century

Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) jointly organized the in-country program in Leadership for 21st Century held from December 16-20, 2019 in Nepal. Twenty-nine officials including TVET leaders, Principals, Vice principals, Managers and Officers participated in the program. Out of 29 participants, four were female participants.

The program was organized on the core topic to achieve the learning outcome in the following area; 1: 21st Century Leadership Traits and Challenges 2: Role of Leadership and Management Dynamics in the TVET Institutions Development 3: Managing Change and Improving Adaptability through Organizational Development in the 21st Century 4: Excellence of Leadership for Quality Management through PDCA Cycle in TVET Institute 5: 21st Century Leadership Development Strategy of Nepal in the TVET Context.

The opening program was inaugurated by Mr. Mahesh Prasad Dahal, Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. During the program, a half-day national seminar was organized. Linkages between the TVET program and Industry relevant issues were discussed during the seminar. Sixty participants were present during the seminar. The seminar’s aimed to: 1)Skills for 21st Century 2) Opportunities and Challenges in Implementing Demand-driven TVET Programs in Nepal 3) Is the Present TVET Ecosystem Supportive for 21st Century Skills in Nepal? 4) Industry Expectations from TVET in Nepal.

The seminar speakers were Dr. Ramhari Lamichhane(CPSC Director General and program supervisor), Dr. Hari Pradhan, TVET Expert, Dr. Hari Lamsal, Joint-Secretary, MoEST and Mr. Sumit Kedia, Executive Member, FNCCI) respectively. Dr. Ramhari Lamichhane, Er. Sanyog Bhattarai and Er. Anoj Bhattarai facilitated the program.
